The Shifting Worldview

There is no doubt that we are living in significant times.  Both troubling and exciting.  In all the chaos there is no shortage of opportunity – opportunity to serve and have a Kingdom aligned impact.  Our mandate remains that we are here to be fruitful and multiply and make disciples of all nations.  They are inseparable.  In order to keep our focus we need to avoid the times of confusion.  We are seeing the resurgence of the Babylonian spirit of confusion. Finding Motivation During Difficult Times

During this challenging time that we are going through as a global family, I see in myself and others a decreased level of motivation.  If you look up the original meaning it of the word it emphasizes movement; or ‘to move’.  I see in myself and others less movement. The word burnout is being used more frequently as well as resilience.  It would also seem like we have even higher levels of stress and anxiety than ever before. A Tale of Two Trees

As you might know, within the Christian tradition, our human condition is defined by the choices Adam and Eve made.  You might recall, Eve was seduced by the Enemy into believing that there is another way to become God-like than eat from the tree  of life.

This second tree became the symbol of our downfall and we have forever lived under the curse that was brought about because of the choices made by the original man and women. Continue reading “A Tale of Two Trees”

Contribute with Meaning

So, I hope you have enjoyed reading what spiritual intelligence is all about, connecting with the Divine and finding your voice.  Although I wrote about these very briefly, it takes time to develop and grow in these capabilities.  The third important element of spiritual intelligence is to contribute with meaning.  In my opinion your contribution flows from your connection with the Divine and finding your voice. Find Your Voice

Yes, you have a unique voice!  It is your purpose or raison d’être (as the French say).  In my previous posts we looked at spiritual intelligence and our connection with the Divine.  Let’s talk more about finding your voice as the next part of your spiritual intelligence.  There is a lot of talk about purpose at the moment because we moved away from a monotheistic paradigm when science took over.  We generally through out spirituality with religion.
But as I mentioned previously, religion and spirituality are not the same thing and our spirits yearn to stand for something and be of value. Continue reading “Find Your Voice”
